Here's something a little different.   Forrest is a yearling colt out of our bay Arab mare, Etti, and our Gypsy Cob stallion, Luka (son of The Lion King).  Forrest is a beautiful tri-color with a lot more feather than you would expect to see in a cross.  Crossing Arabs & Thoroughbreds with the Shire Horse has been a common practice for decades in order to produce athletic & sturdy sporthorses with the stamina to endure 3-day-eventing, jumping, and other highly strenuous disciplines.   Forrest's breeding duplicates this, but in the smaller, more colorful package we expect from the cob.  However, Forrest is not a small colt.  His dam is 14.2, and his sire stands 15.1.  We expect Forrest to mature at a size between these two.  He has a sweet, easy-going disposition like that of his parents, and will be easy to break & train.  He is still sporting some of his winter coat in these photos.
