Lightning is a beautiful black blagdon mare who stands 14.2 hands.  She is a beautiful true-black color of proper cob type with great show-ring legs.  A nice personality and abundant feather really tops off this package.  She is sired by SD farms "Cochise", and her dam is known as "Violet's Sister.  Lightning is a good producer, and gave us a nice colt in 2007 we call "Striker".  She spent the summer running with SD "Subaru Horse", and has been confirmed for a 2008 foal.
